Four men have been arrested by gardai investigating dissident republican activities.
The suspects, two aged in their 40s and two in their 20s, were detained in a search and arrest operation in the Dublin area on Wednesday morning.
The men are being questioned on suspicion of IRA membership.
They are being held at Dublin Garda stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
Gardai from the Special Detective Unit were involved in the arrest operation along with officers from the Garda Meath Division.
