Man charged after teen sustained serious head injury in Glengormley assault

An 18-year-old man has been charged with GBH with intent and is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court. 

It follows an assault on a man (18) in the Antrim Road area of Glengormley on Saturday. 

The victim was taken to hospital with a serious head injury. 

A PSNI spokesperson said: ''Detectives investigating the assault of a man in the Antrim Road area of Glengormley on Saturday May 29th have charged an 18-year-old man on suspicion of GBH with intent.

''The male has been 28 Day Charged and is set to appear at Laganside Court.''
