Seven Coleraine properties plus another in Articlave searched in relation to drug offences
Seven properties altogether were raided bu the PSNI. Properties in both the Heights and Greenmount we searched by the Tactical Support Team and the Organised Crime Branch, a further property was searched in Articlave.
Detective Inspector Tom McClure said that the searches were part of a wider, ongoing investigation into drug offences. Police have made several offences in recent months for cocaine offences and yesterday seized a number of items including a quantity of suspected Ecstasy tablets, scales, plastic bags, a number of mobile phones and SIM cards and computers. They also confiscated three vehicles for forensic examination
I a statement DI McClure said "We are aware of community concerns about illegal drugs. We share those concerns and have begun a phased sequence of investigative and enforcement activity to address the concerns raised by local people". He added that the investigation would continue for some time.
