Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they "urgently" want to speak to following a spate of attacks in Belfast.
Three young women, aged between 19 and 22, sustained wounds to the neck, arm and back of their legs, on Monday evening.
Two others were punched in the head during separate attacks within an 80 minute window.
Police patrols have been stepped up in the city and women have been warned to remain vigilant.
There are fears that a knife-wielding masked man may strike again prompting calls for women not to go out alone at night.
