Covid hits New Year football fixtures - as Coleraine v Warrenpoint is called off

The New Year's Day game between Coleraine and Warrenpoint Town has been postponed due to Covid-19.

The other five Danske Bank Premiership fixtures go ahead as scheduled. 

A number of matches in the league's lower divisions have also been called off.

NIFL:
Lough 41 Championship

Knockbreda v HW Welders (scheduled for Friday 31 December) is OFF following a request from both clubs.
Ards v Loughgall is OFF following a request from both clubs.

All remaining fixtures remain on as scheduled.

Lough 41 Premier Intermediate League

Bangor v Limavady United is OFF in line with the NIFL Covid-19 Case Policy.
Dollingstown v Tobermore United is OFF in line with the NIFL Covid-19 Case Policy.

All remaining fixtures remain on as scheduled.

Ulster Rugby's game against Leinster on Saturday was called off earlier in the week, but there's some good news on New Year's Eve from Kingspan Stadium:

John Cooney and Will Addison staying at Ulster - with new face Sean Reffell on the way to Belfast
