Mickey Harte has welcomed the star player’s decision to put retirement plans on hold.
Cavanagh revealed he was considering ending his inter-county career at the end of 2016.
Speculation still remains over the future of other experienced members of the squad.
Harte however is not expecting any of them to call time on their careers.
