The Irish side lead Hong Kong despite 45 overs being lost due to rain

John Anderson hit an impressive 59 as Ireland continued to try to force a result in their ICC Intercontinental Cup with Hong Kong.  The weather did its best to derail Ireland's efforts, with the Irish ending the day on 199-6.

Ireland had a lead of 278 at the resumption of their second innings today with the batsmen hoping that rain and bad light wouldn't hold them back this time.  However, it was the Hong Kong bowlers that caused the problems for Ireland

There were 32 runs and 2 wickets in the first 4 overs at Stormont this morning as wickets fell early on.  Eventually Ireland were all out for 230 setting Hong Kong a target of 310.

Hong Kong will have 97 overs to chase the total.
