Glentoran manager Gary Smyth says he's been told this Saturday's rearranged league fixture at Cliftonville will be his last match in charge of the team.

The Glens are hoping to qualify for the Europa League through the play-offs, but legendary defender Smyth doesn't have the coaching qualifications to manage in Europe.

A spokesperson for the club has told Q Radio all options are currently being reviewed ahead of this weekend's deadline to apply for European competitions, but that Gary Smyth and his assistant Paul Leeman are part of the long-term future at the club.

Glentoran have been in negotiations for some time about a significant cash investment.
