In GAA, Slaughtneil has become the first Derry team to win the Ulster Club hurling title.

They beat Loughgiel 1-13 to 2-14 yesterday (Sunday).

Slaughtneil lost in last year's final to Cushendall after extra time - and to the same opponents in the 2014 semi-final.

Loughgiel, who were All-Ireland champions in 2012, beat them in the 2013 Ulster final.

However, There was slightly better news for the Loughiel Camogs at the same venue - also against Slaughtneil

The two sides will face a replay after their Ulster final was drawn 1-8 apiece.

And, Killyclogher were crowned champions of Tyrone for the second time.

They swept to a 14 points win over Coalisland in a one-sided replay.

Tyrone's Mark Bradley hit eight points, as he led his side to O’Neill Cup triumph.

The final score was Coalisland 6 points, Killyclogher 20 points.
