£250k worth of drugs seized in Northern Ireland

Cocaine and cannabis worth a quarter of a million pounds have been seized by the PSNI.

It follows a number of searches in three properties in Templepatrick, Newtownabbey and Bangor by Detectives from the Reactive and Organised Crime branch.

No arrests have been made but detectives say their investigation is ongoing.

Detective Inspector Pete Mullan said: “ We have recovered cannabis and cocaine with an estimated street value of £250k as well as other drug related paraphernalia.

"No arrests have been made at this time however our investigation is ongoing.

“I am very pleased to have taken these dangerous and illegal substances from our streets and as our current operation focussing on illegal drugs ( Op Torus ) continues, I would ask anyone with information regarding the use or supply of illegal drugs to pass that information on to police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
