Newry Pride organisers have filed an official complaint with the police ombudsman.
It follows an attack on five of its members as they left a Newry Pride event early on Sunday.
Three men followed the group shouting homophobic abuse.
Newry Pride organiser Rory Rafferty said three young men shouted homophobic abuse.
It's understood they then threw objects at the group before attacking them.
Police are treating the attack as a 'homophobic hate crime' and have asked witnesses to come forward with any information.
Satire news site Newry Spud is offering a £500 reward to anyone with information on the attack.
