The Taoiseach has rejected calls to expel the Israeli Ambassador to Ireland.
Leo Varadkar's been under pressure after 58 people were killed during yesterday's violence in Gaza.
Speaking in the Dáil the Irish Premier was responding to a question from Sinn Fein TD, Pearse Doherty.
Mr Varadkar said: "The Tánaiste (...) called in the ambassador of Israel this morning, told him exactly what the Irish Government and the Irish people think of Gaza, told him about our objections to it, told him where we stood.
Adding that "If we had expelled him, that wouldn't have been possible."
