A fundraising page set up for the family of Kai Corkum has raised over £3,600 in only two days.
The three year old was knocked down in Newtownards last Thursday but died from his injuries on Friday.
Kai was from the local area and was a pupil of Chuckles Pre-School.
The 'Go Fund Me' page was organised anonymously, to help the toddler's relatives pay for his funeral.
The online fundraiser says, "I am asking to raise some money for the corkum family to help towards funeral costs and anything else they may need during this sad time.
"Little Kai sadly lost his life due to a road accident. Kai was a loving, beautiful and smart little boy and never took the smile off his face.
"I have set this page up to try help the family with costs. It will also give one less thing to worry about so they can grieve for there son in peace.
"So I'm asking anyone who can contribute to making it a little easier then please do. Sending love to Kai who's up with the angles* and his baby sister x"
Meanwhile, a local band says it's also organising a fundraiser to help the Corkum family:
Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident on the Movilla Road to come forward.
A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, but has since been released on bail pending further police inquiries.
