Bannsiders record a 40-8 Junior Cup victory over their Roeside rivals
Coleraine progressed to the quarter finals of this years Junior Cup, at the expense of local rivals Limavady RFC. In what proved to be a comfortable win for the Bannsiders, Limavady were dispatched 40-8.
Coleraine were rarely threatened throughout Saturday's game as Richard Boyd's side opened up a 23-3 gap at halftime. Limavady were unable to mount a second half comeback, eventually succumbing to a 32 point defeat.

Ahead of the game, both coaches had praised their opposition with Limavady's Mark Nicholl highlighting Coleraine's expansive play as being of particular note, Richard Boyd will certainly be happy with his team's progression, singling out the Junior Cup as a solid launch pad to build some momentum.
Next up for both sides is a return to league action. Coleraine make the journey to Grosvenor while Limavady will entertain Armagh 2's.
