The Ballyronan Road in Magherafelt is to be resurfaced.
It’s costing over £100,000.
The scheme extends from Killowen Drive to the 30mph speed limit at the town boundary.
Traffic controls are in place.
Motorists will be diverted via the Aughrim Road and Shore Road.
Ulster Unionist Assembly Member for Mid Ulster, Sandra Overend, has welcomed the scheme.
Constituents should be reminded of the potential disruption caused by the works.
“This is a busy route in to the town, and this £115,000 investment will certainly improve the surface quality. It follows on from another welcome resurfacing programme close to the Loup Crossroads,” she says.
“The roads network across Mid Ulster requires significant investment and I will continue to lobby the Minister to ensure that the entire area receives a fair share of the additional funding that the Executive has recently allocated towards road maintenance,” she adds.
