Belfast International Airport has until tomorrow tea time to be shortlisted by a German airline to run a new route from Belfast to Cologne next summer.
But the airport is up against nine other cities to win the prestigious Euro-wings route.
To make the challenge even greater the airline wants the public to choose the winning city.
Uel Hoey who's Business Development Director at the international airport says Belfast is currently lying in fifth place having reach the number two spot at the end of last week.

According to a spokesperson for Belfast International the airport is currently lying in 3rd place but the top runners are still miles aheaThe closing date is October the 10th.
The spokesperson added: "The route would be hugely successful for us if we can pull this off".
