Charlotte Caldwell's told Q Radio the treatment of her son Billy is "deplorable."
The 12-year-old's back in Northern Ireland but he'll have to stay in Belfast to receive his medicinal cannabis-rather than at home in Castlederg.
The Department of Health has issued the Belfast Trust an emergency license to treat the youngster's severe epilepsy.
Charlotte says she's "bewildered" at why the drug can't be administered at home.
Their MP, Sinn Fein's Orfhlaith Begley, says she's exploring the possibility of transferring the license to the Western Trust.
