Burglary of shed in Cookstown sees boat motor stolen

Police are appealing for information after a boat outboard motor was stolen from a garden shed in Cookstown.

The incident is thought to have happened some time between Tuesday the twenty-fifth of October and the eighth of November.

Officers say the burglary took place in the Coolnafranky Park area of the town.

Anyone with any information is being asked to come forward.

Constable Chris Young said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, who has information about the incident or anyone who may be offered similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances to contact Magherafelt Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 687 of 08/11/16. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
