Businesses in more than 45 villages in the area can apply for grant aid for renovations.
A new village ‘spruce up’ scheme has been launched by Mid Ulster District Council.
The programme is valued at £150,000.
The cash will go towards minor internal and external improvements to windows, doors and guttering.
It can also pay for redecoration.
The scheme will provide up to 75% funding to a maximum amount of £5,000 per property.
A full list of eligible villages are on the website.
Launching the scheme, Chair of the Council, Councillor Kim Ashton, says it’s a great opportunity for business owners.
“The visual appearance of any place is an important aspect of encouraging people to visit, stay and shop and this scheme can help to increase the attractiveness of our villages to locals and visitors alike.
“A similar scheme in our five main towns proved incredibly popular and I expect interest in this funding programme to be just as high.
“I encourage local businesses to apply and look forward to seeing the results in due course,” she adds.
