The consultation period has been extended for the draft Community Plan for Mid Ulster.
It's to allow residents in more rural areas the opportunity to have their say.
Additional consultation sessions will now take place in Ballygawley, Stewartstown, Draperstown and Maghera.
The Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Trevor Wilson, has welcomed the news of the extension.
He said, “The success of this new Community Plan for Mid Ulster, which will set out the vision for the area for the foreseeable future, depends heavily on the buy-in from residents, in fact it cannot exist without it. For that reason I am delighted that the Council has extended the consultation period allowing more sessions to take place which will enable people, particularly those living in more rural areas to have their say and offer their views and valuable feedback.
“The draft plan is a milestone for the region and has its roots in the communities we all serve, reflecting the issues which have been identified through far-reaching community engagement, as well as deep statistical analysis. These are the issues which have the most impact on local people, whether it’s in terms of health and well-being, education, job opportunities, isolation or access to services.”
