The rise in figures comes as mobile vaccination centres have been operating this weekend in Belfast and County Down.

A pop-up clinic for Covid-19 Vaccinations is taking place at Newcastle Community Services until 7pm today.

Staff will be there to vaccinate everyone over 18 years of age with the Moderna vaccine.

The pop-up clinic will then return six weeks later to deliver the second vaccination in the same place and at the same time.

Those attending for vaccination must bring photographic ID or proof of address and where possible a Health & Care number.

The local Health Trust encouraging people to attend this pop-up clinic for vaccination to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
