A man is in a serious condition in hospital following a collision between Ballymoney and Coleraine.

The crash happened on the Frosses Road at around 9am this morning, with the road remaining closed for a number of hours.

Police attended the scene along with other emergency services.

Earlier the PSNI shut the route between the Portrush Road roundabout and the Newbridge Road and advised motorists to avoid the area.

The route has since been re-opened.
