Abuse victims here say they are finally set to receive compensation payments within a matter of months.

A redress scheme for survivors of historic institutional abuse was recommended by the Hart inquiry two and a half years ago.

However, nothing's been paid due to the collapse of the power-sharing administration at Stormont.

Inquiry chairman Sir Anthony Hart died last week and his funeral was held in east Belfast on Wednesday.

Margaret McGuckian of campaign group SAVIA says she's been assured by senior civil servants legislation is on the way at Westminster to implement his proposals...

Margaret says an urgent payment of £10,000 will be made after parliament's summer recess to those most in need with compensation for all survivors to follow shortly afterwards...
