A 30-year-old man has been charged with rioting in north Belfast.
The suspect is accused of a number of other offences including throwing a petrol bomb, attempted grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of Class C controlled substance.
It’s in connection to disorder on North Queen Street last Friday, April 9.
The man is due to appear in Belfast Magistrates Court this morning.
A PSNI spokesperson said: ''Detectives in Musgrave have charged a 30-year-old man with a number of offences including rioting, throwing a petrol bomb, attempted grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of Class C controlled substance
''He is due to appear in Belfast Magistrates Court this morning (13 April 2021).
''The following offences are in connection with disorder on North Queen Street on Friday 9 April.
''As is usual procedure the charge will be reviewed by the PPS.''
