Mid Ulster District Council is delivering the Christmas gift of 10p parking to shoppers in Dungannon and Magherafelt.
This will be the third year in a row that the Christmas parking promotion returns to all Council owned off-street car parks in both towns.
Parking in these car parks will be reduced to 10p for the first 3 hours in a special price promotion running in both towns from Saturday 25th November to Sunday 6th January.
The promotion represents an investment of more than £23K in the town centres.
Chair of the Council, Councillor Kim Ashton, feels the promotion will provide a huge boost to town centre trade at one of the busiest times of the year.
She said:
"Christmas is the busiest time of the year for our town centres so it is vital we take the necessary steps to ensure maximum footfall during this important trading period.
"By providing this fantastic parking incentive over the Christmas period we are making our town centres more appealing to shoppers who value accessible car parking, both in terms of cost and convenience."
The 10p charge will only be for the first 3 hours in Dungannon and Magherafelt's council owned off-street car parks, after that normal charges will apply.
Off Street car parking in Cookstown town centre is free of charge.
