To mark International Women’s Day 2018, which takes place on Thursday 8 March, two events will take place in Dungannon and Magherafelt to help empower local women and encourage them to ‘Press for Progress’.

All money raised from the events will also be going to Air Ambulance NI.

The first event takes place on Monday, 5 March at Hill of The O’Neill, Dungannon and will feature talks from inspirational speakers including Karen Farquhar and Billy Dixon.
Karen will share her story on how Air Ambulance NI saved her husband’s Ryan’s life following a serious motorcycle accident and Billy will share his secrets on how to build self-confidence to portray a positive personal image.

The second event takes place on Wednesday, 7 March at the Bridewell, Magherafelt with renowned speakers Dr. Janet Gray MBE, and local woman Hannah Shields.

Janet, the world champion blind water-skier and Hannah, the first woman from Northern Ireland to summit Mount Everest, will share their inspirational stories of how they reached their goals and dreams.
