More schools close as north coast blanketed by snow

The north cost of Northern Ireland has been blanketed  by snow forcing more schools to close.

A yellow weather warning remains in place until midday.

Counties Londonderry and Antrim have been particularly badly hit.

A stretch from Cushendall to Derry is covered by three to four inches.

Fermanagh, Down, Armagh and Tyrone have also had early morning snow falls.

Motorists are being reminded to leave plenty of time for their journey and leave a safe distance from the car in front.
