One of the first firefighters to respond to the Omagh bombing says he arrived to find his own mother had miraculously survived the Real IRA attack...

Watch Commander Paddy Quinn was a part-time fireman on the day of the bomb in August 1998.

20 years on, he's been speaking with Q Radio about the horrific images he witnessed.

He says he quickly established his mother was fine and left her to help others in a scene of death and destruction...

The local man says the victims' families are always in his thoughts and prayers...
