The Mid-Ulster Hospital

The out of hours urgent care facility in Moneymore could be relocated to the Mid Ulster Hospital.

A public consultation has just been launched by the Health and Social Care Board on the proposed permanent relocation of Dalriada.

Currently, patients who need an appointment before midnight, attend the Moneymore centre.

After midnight, patients are seen, around five miles away, at the Mid Ulster Hospital.

The Northern Health and Social Care Trust has identified a suitable location in the Outpatients Department of the hospital.

The move is considered necessary as the Moneymore facility requires major refurbishment.

The consultation will last for 12 weeks.
