Police in Mid Ulster have taken to social media to warn the public; parents in particular of anti-social behaviour that has been going on.

They posted the image shown (right) to their local PSNI pages to put things in perspective for mums, dads and guardians.

A neighbourhood inspector said:

"Folks this setting may look very idyllic and picturesque but imagine this - it's ten O'Clock tonight, it's pitch dark and your children are sitting in this very location.

"They're drinking alcohol, perhaps they're experimenting with drugs or firing off some fireworks.

"It's remote, it's dark and help is not so close at hand when things go wrong. Not such a nice scene now..."

The spokesperson went on to make a plea to parents:

"Please please please can we ask parents to be sure where their children are tonight.

"We need your help to ensure we keep children safe.

"Thank you. Neighbourhood Inspector, Dungannon."
