Prosecutors are considering whether to charge two people over their alleged use of social media during the Ulster Rugby rape trial.
Police questioned the pair on suspicion of publically identifying the woman at the centre of the case before sending a file to the PPS.
The high profile trial saw Irish players, Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding unanimously acquitted of the charges against them.
A spokesperson for the PSNI told Q Radio: "There is an ongoing police investigation and two people have been interviewed in relation to an offence under section five of the Sexual Offences Amendment Act 1992.
"Two files have been forwarded to the Public Prosecution Service for consideration."
