Resurfacing on the A6 Glenshane Road is scheduled to begin next Monday.
The scheme is costing in the region of £320,000.
The work will be undertaken at its junction with the Lisnamuck Road.
It’s expected to be completed by Friday 7 July.
To help minimise any inconvenience to the public and businesses, two-way traffic flow will be maintained on the A6.
A mandatory 40mph speed limit will be enforced during this period and overtaking will be prohibited.
The Lisnamuck Road junction will be closed for the duration of the works. There will also be no access or exit to or from the A6.
All traffic will be diverted via the A6 and the Fivemilestraight.
Motorists should be aware that delays should be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.
