A security alert in Lisburn has now ended and been declared a hoax by the PSNI.
Alarm was raised following reports of a suspicious object in the Stoneyford Village area earlier today.
Residents were evacuated from homes and roads were closed as a result.
However, a spokesperson for the PSNI now says, "ATO and police have examined a suspicious object that was discovered in the area and declared it a hoax.
"The object has been taken for further examination.
"All roads have now re-opened and residents permitted to return to their homes."
Local councillor for the area David Honeyford told Q Radio, the alert had initially caused some concern for residents.
He also praised emergency services for their swift action.
"It is unfortunate residents had been inconvenienced and put out of their homes temporarily but the public safety is completely top priority.
"I would commend at this time, the emergency services on their quick response."
