A security alert in West Belfast has ended.
The alarm was raised early this morning following the discovery of a suspicious object on the Springfield Road.
DUP MP Nigel Dodds says a viable device was found:

The device has been taken away for examination - and the road has re-opened.
The alert caused minor delay to an Orange Order feeder parade that was scheduled to join the main Twelfthe of July demonstration in Belfast.
A PSNI statement said:
"A security alert on the Springfield Road, Belfast has ended. "
"The road is now reopened. An object has been taken away for further examination."
