A teenager who attempted to take his own life after seeing his father being shot in a 'punishment' attack says victims need to speak out.
The 19-year-old, who wished to be known by only his first name Paul, told Q Radio that the impact the shooting had on him and his family was catastrophic.
His father was kneecapped in their Creggan home in 2014 by two masked gunmen who also assaulted a 14-year-old Paul as he tried to flee to safety.
Paul says if victims speak out, paramilitaries might stop the brutal activity.
