The Wesley Somerville banner.

by Gillian McDade

Tensions in Moygashel are reported to be ‘high.’

It follows the theft of a banner dedicated to UVF killer Wesley Somerville.

A man in his 60s has been released on bail pending further inquiries in relation to the incident.

Meanwhile, a caller to Q Radio, who did not wish to be identified, says republican billboards should be treated the same as loyalist banners.

He’s urging nationalist and republican representatives to publicly support the removal of IRA billboards.
