Two men have been arrested in connection with the recovery of a gun and ammunition in west Belfast.
Police investigating criminal activities of the INLA, stopped a vehicle on the Falls Road shortly after 9.20am yesterday.
A subsequent property search was carried out in the Whiterock area, where the firearm and bullets were found and taken for examination.
The suspects aged 34 and 35 were arrested on suspicion of possessing firearm and ammunition in suspicious circumstances.
Both men remain in police custody.

Detective Inspector Hamilton said: "The seizure of this firearm and ammunition has made the community of west Belfast, and indeed the wider community a safer place following this investigation.
“The Paramilitary Crime Task Force will continue to listen to the community and act on the information they provide.
