Wrightbus has been awarded a major contract in Scotland to help deliver more than 300 buses over the next four years.
The Ballymena based firm will supply motors to Lothian Buses from 2017.
An agreement between the firms will see a mix of diesel, diesel hybrid and electric technology vehicles delivered.
The firm haven't been drawn on the value of the latest deal, and say whilst it wont create any jobs, it will sustain local employment.
Five new Wrights StreetAir EV full electric buses will be delivered to Edinburgh during summer 2017.
It's the first order for the vehicles outside of London, with a further six to follow during 2018.
The deal also includes a comprehensive support and training package for Lothian's engineering team.
Mark Nodder OBE, Chairman of Wrights Group, said: We are delighted to be selected by Lothian Buses as its primary supply partner for Lothian's BUS2020 environmental fleet strategy.
"We expect the agreement to cover the supply of up to 316 vehicles with a mix of diesel, diesel hybrid and electric technologies."
