There'll be two Belfast derbies in the quarter-finals of the Toals County Antrim Shield next month.
The first round results mean Crusaders will welcome Cliftonville while Glentoran face Linfield at Windsor Park.
The Glens needed late goals from Curtis Allen to beat Queen's University 2-1 at the Oval. He back-heeled the winner, his 99th goal for the club.
It spared home blushes as the battling students had lost 3-0 at the same venue on Saturday against the Glens' second string in the Steel and Sons Cup!
Linfield had a narrow 2-1 victory as well against their visitors, the PSNI.
Also through to the last eight are Larne, Ballyclare and Ards.
Ballymena were due to play the Welders at Dixon Park on Wednesday night but it was postponed.
