In hockey, Cookstown are hoping to claim the Ulster Premier League title.

They beat Portadown 11-3 at Edenvilla Park on Saturday.

The result leaves them level on 40 points with Kilkeel - but they still have a game in hand after the Co Down team’s  5-1 win at North Down.

Also in hockey, former Cookstown midfielder Ian Sloan is preparing for the World League 3 and EuroHockey Nations Cup competitions

He captained the England v Germany match in Cape Town over the weekend. England lost 3-0.

The game was part of their warm-weather training camp in South Africa.

Ian's dad Martin captained the Irish squad 108 times in an international career that spanned 14 years.
