The NI Football League says it has received clarification on current Covid restrictions ahead of the Danske Bank Premiership starting next week.
NIFL says it's clear social distancing is no longer a legal requirement for outdoor venues.
In a statement issued on Friday afternoon, the league adds the number of fans permitted to attend matches will be determined by each club's individual risk assessment and "clubs will be actively engaging with their local authorities."

Fans were banned for most of last season due to coronavirus.
However, more than 12,000 supporters recently attended the Super Cup match at Windsor Park between Chelsea and Villarreal.
Thousands of people have also been enjoying concerts in the city.
Glentoran say supporters must provide proof of double Covid-19 vaccination or a negative test before attending this month’s Big Two derby against Linfield.
It'll be their first home match of the season.
