New Dungannon Swifts boss Kris Lindsay says he wants the players to reach for the stars under his management.

The former Linfield defender and Glenavon coach has been officially unveiled at Stangmore Park.

Ex-Rangers and Glentoran striker Nacho Novo was also interviewed, but Swifts chairman Keith Boyd is confident Lindsay's the right man for the job...


Dungannon moved off the bottom of the table with a shock win against Crusaders on Tuesday night.

Now new boss Lindsay wants them to climb further and challenge for a European place...

Portadown are set to finish bottom of the Danske Bank Women's Premiership.

It's after they lost 13-1 at home to Glentoran on Wednesday night.

Caragh Milligan hit five of the goals for the Irish Cup winners with Rachel Rogan getting four.

The Glens are now six points behind leaders Linfield with two games to play, including a showdown this Friday night at the Oval when the Blues can clinch the title.  

In the other league matches on Wednesday, Cliftonville beat Sion Swifts 2-1 at Solitude and Crusaders had a 2-0 victory away to Derry City.
