Q RADIO’S ‘BIG July Jetaway’ PRIZE DRAW: TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

 

These Competition terms and conditions are in addition to Q Radio Competition General Terms & Conditions and are referred to as the “Q Radio General Competition Terms & Conditions (On-air and Online)”. Specific competition terms and conditions and the General Terms are collectively referred to as “Terms”. Where there is a conflict between specific competition terms and Q Radio General Competition Terms & Conditions (On-air and Online), these terms prevail.

So that we can ensure the fairness of our Promotions, if you have won one prize during the previous three months then we reserve the right to withdraw from you, at our absolute discretion, any further prize awarded to you, in error or otherwise, during a period of three months (“Exclusion Period”). If you do enter any Promotion during the Exclusion Period, you may be disqualified and we reserve the right to: (i) select another entrant to participate in the Promotion; (ii) impose either a further exclusion period of twelve months from the date of your last entry attempt, or a longer or permanent ban, if we deem this necessary or appropriate; and/or (iii) disqualify your mobile phone number(s) and email addresses from future Promotions during this Exclusion Period. If you are disqualified, entry fees (if any) will not be refunded.

Decisions relating to competitions or the redemption of prizes are at the sole discretion of management and decisions are final – no further correspondence will be entered in to. This includes questions, concerns, tiebreakers, conflicts and disputes.

All Q Radio competitions are run across the Q Radio Network within Northern Ireland.
 

Who can enter and entry requirements:

The Q Radio’s ‘BIG July Jetaway’ Prize Draw (“Prize Draw”) in relation to the Q Radio programme (“Programme”) is open to Northern Ireland residents aged 18 years or over on the date of entry, excluding employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, and anyone else professionally connected with the Prize Draw.

Opening/closing date & time:

The Prize Draw may be made available on multiple occasions from Monday to Friday until Friday 30th December 2023 at the discretion of the Promoter (“BIG July Jetaway Period”), in each case in relation to a broadcast of the Programme.

The Prize Draw opens for entries on Monday 27 March 2023 and closes on the date and at the time as advertised in the Programme and online via www.qradio.com.

Each subsequent Prize Draw will open and close for entries on the dates and at the times advertised in the Programme and via the Website (the “Competition Dates”). 

You must complete your entry before the closing date and time of the Prize Draw. If you are part way through your entry when the Prize Draw closes you will not be able to complete your entry and you will not have entered the Prize Draw.

How to enter: 

You can enter by sending an SMS message starting with the keyword HOLIDAY to 85522. If the message does not start with the valid keyword, or is not sent to the valid number, the entry will be invalid. Entrants will receive an automated SMS response to their SMS message confirming entry. Entrants can also enter online at www.qradio.com

Opt Out and data consent:

The entrant has the right to opt out at any time they deem necessary. By entering the Competition, entrants are automatically consenting to receiving marketing communications from the Promoter via SMS text message. Entrants can opt out of this at any time by texting: STOP to 85522. This will be charged at 1 standard network rate message. If entrants do not wish to receive any marketing communications, they will need to do this after each time they re-enter the Competition. Entrants personal data will (regardless of whether they opt-out) always be used to process their entry. 

By entering the Prize Draw, you confirm the following:

• You are 18 years or over and are a Northern Ireland Resident;
• You do not work for and are not related to anyone who works for Q Radio or any affiliated company within the media group.
• You have read and accept these Q Radio’s ‘BIG July Jetaway’ terms and conditions;
• You have read and accept the Q Radio General Competition Terms & Conditions (On-air and Online); 
• You consent to be phoned live on air and for your name and general location to be announced on the radio, and any live video broadcasts that may occur.
• You will be contactable between 9pm - 10:00am on the relevant Competition Date.
   

Winner selection & contact:

Subject to eligibility and compliance with all applicable terms and conditions, the first entry drawn at random from all eligible entries will be called on air on the Programme between 8:00am - 10:00am on the relevant Prize Draw Date on the phone number provided to Q Radio. Entrants must be contactable during these times to be eligible to win the prize. If the entrant does not answer the phone within a reasonable number of rings or the entrant’s phone goes directly to voicemail, the entrant will be deemed to have forfeited their chance to participate in BIG July Jetaway and the Promoter reserves the right to deem the competition to be completed. 

Where there is any doubt in relation to whether or not an entrant has given the correct Prize or the Prize should be awarded, we reserve the right to defer decision making to an off-air adjudicator.  To be eligible to win the specified prize amount the contestant must answer the phone within 5 rings. No variations will be accepted. The decision of the Promoter will be final.

The winner will be contacted in accordance with these terms and conditions and with Q Radio General Competition Terms & Conditions (On-air and Online). 

Entrants will not be broadcast on live radio  if the Promoter suspects they are driving illegally, intoxicated, likely to use profanity, or otherwise offend our listeners. Whilst on air for the purposes of this competition entrants must not use foul language, swear, say or do anything defamatory or illegal or say or do anything which would damage the reputation of the Promoter. Failure to comply will result in disqualification, and if the entrant has won the prize, this will be forfeited.

Cost of entry:

Entry to the Prize Draw £2.00 plus your standard network rate. Data charges may apply (check with your internet service provider of mobile network). Promotional rates may be offered to entrants such as 3 for 2 or buy one get one free. Entrants will be notified by text message. 

Maximum number of entries: 

A weekly £20.00 cap will be placed on all entrants per phone number per Prize Draw. A maximum of 1 free online entry per IP address will be included in the draw at the discretion of the promoter.

Prize: 

The prize is a Jet2Holiday voucher to the value of £2,500 only. The prizes available during each BIG July Jetaway for each Prize Draw will be determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion. Decisions relating to competitions or the redemption of prizes are at the sole discretion of management and decisions are final – no further correspondence will be entered into. This includes questions, concerns, tiebreakers, conflicts and disputes. 

Faults and technical issues:

All prizes are strictly non-transferable unless otherwise stated. All prizes are subject to availability.

The voucher is for Jet2 Holidays only. It must be used on a package holiday. No cash alternative available.Travel to be completed by December 2025. Prize will be sent via post to the winner by the provider, Holiday Hotspots Larne.

Failure to gain access to competitions due to technical difficulties, engaged phone lines, or for any other reason is not the responsibility of the radio station.

 

All copyright remains the property of Q Radio, including on-air broadcast and photos or images of winners.

 

By entering competitions all contestants agree to be used in publicity, on-air promotion and by any means deemed fit for the promotion of the station.

 

No person or members of their immediate family who has won a competition is permitted to enter another station promotion for a period of three months.

 

If your call is answered in the studio and you have previously entered within the three month period, we are obliged to take another caller. 

 

The prize providers will communicate to each winner directly to arrange their prize. Individual prize terms and conditions apply and are upheld by the prize provider.

 

Across the BIG July Jetaway Period, entrants may have the chance to win a prize from the following categories: 

1. Cash Prizes

There will be various Cash Prizes of various amounts.

Each Cash Prize will be made payable by BACS in the name of the winner only. 

2. Mystery bonus prizes will be determined at the Promoter’s sole discretion and may be different for each Prize Draw.
