Jake Cornish has quit 'Love Island: All Stars'.

The 26-year-old star was one of the 12 former Islanders who appeared on the brand-new show's launch night episode on Monday (15.01.24), where he had an awkward reunion with his ex and season seven co-star Liberty Poole, but he has now departed the South African villa.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Jake was really shocked to see Liberty in the villa - they had no idea the other person would be there.

"It was clear from the start they wouldn't get back together, then none of the girls wanted to step forward for him.

"Jake had a nice three days in the villa and had a very emotional chat to Maya Jama.

"Jake couldn't stay in the villa so he quit the show - it's not his time and it's not the right time to find love."

Despite making it clear there was no chance of anything romantic between them, Jake and Liberty were coupled up together after the public were given the power to choose the initial couples on launch night.

The public also picked Anton Danyluk to pair up with Hannah, Chris Taylor with Demi, Luis Morrison with Georgia H, Mitchel Taylor with Kaz, and Toby Aromolaran with his former flame Georgia S, who he coupled up with on last year's 'Love Island Games' series.

Jake and Liberty - who were affectionately known as Jiberty when they became an item in 2021 - were early favourites to win series seven, but their relationship fell apart following a dramatic Movie Night episode.

The pair ended up walking from the series just four days before the final.

Ahead of the 'All Stars' series, Liberty confessed it would be "awkward" if she was to meet one of her exes again in the villa.

She said: "It’s always going to be awkward isn’t it, it’s always going to be weird seeing someone that you’ve been with getting with someone else.

"I wish my exes nothing but the best. I'm going to be focused on my own journey so if it was to happen I won’t be worrying about them - so I'll stay focused on my goal, which is to find love."
