A teenager has been left in hospital after men armed with machetes attacked him inside a house in Newry.
The group forced their way into a property on Talbot Street around 2.15am this morning.
The PSNI says the 17-year-old has been treated for large cuts to his arm and leg as well as a nose injury.
A spokesperson has told us "Detective Chief Inspector Will Tate is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Ardmore Police Station on 101 quoting reference 236 05/06/18.
"Or, alternatively information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
