Three men have been arrested by detectives investigating the rape and murder of Lorraine McCausland in 1987.
Two men aged 49 and 56 were arrested in Scotland while a 53 year old was detained in England.
They will be brought to Northern Ireland for questioning.
The 23 year old woman was returning from a night out in a loyalist drinking den before she was attacked in north Belfast.
The mother-of-two's body was found beside a stream in Forthriver on 8 March 1987.
Police believe she was sexually assaulted in the club before she was attacked and dumped near a river.
Detective Inspector Michelle Griffin would appeal to anyone who has any information about this incident to contact Detectives on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
