Belfast boxer Paddy Barnes will fight for his first professional title this summer.

The two time Olympic bronze medallist will compete for the vacant WBO European Flyweight title on the 17th of June in the Waterfront Hall.

It's not yet clear who his opponent will be.

It will be only his third fight in his professional career after defeating Stefan Slavchev and Adrian Dimas Garzon.

The 30 year old could be fast tracked to a EBU European title fight if he wins the bout.

He turned professional after competing with team Ireland at the Olympic Games in Rio last year.
