Cliftonville chairman Gerard Lawlor says Paddy McLaughlin was the stand-out candidate to take over as the club's new manager.
The 39-year-old's been appointed on a two-and-a-half-year contract, pipping ex-Derry City boss Kenny Shiels to the job.

A pitch inspection's to be held this afternoon ahead of the Toals County Antrim Shield final tonight.
