Adele is rumoured to be eyeing up a collaboration with her idol Beyonce for her hotly-anticipated follow-up 2015's '25'.

Adele is rumoured to be considering a collaboration with Beyoncé for her long-awaited new album.

It was previously revealed that songwriter-and-producer, Raphael Saadiq, who executive produced the R&B megastar's sister Solange Knowles' 2016 album, 'A Seat At The Table', is among the huge names working on Adele's much-anticipated follow-up to 2015's '25'.

It's also been claimed that Grammy-winner H.E.R. - whose real name is Gabriella Wilson - and songwriter Jimmy Napes, who is best known for working with British stars Sam Smith and Stormzy, have contributed to the record.

The 'Hello' hitmaker is a massive Beyoncé fan and, as per the Daily Star newspaper's Wired column, there are "whispers" that they could team up on a duet.

On her love of the 'Crazy in Love' hitmaker, Adele previously gushed: "Anyone who knows me knows that my main priority in life outside of my child is Beyoncé."

The rumour comes after former Pearl Jam drummer Matt Chamberlain revealed he worked on Adele's new music last month.

The 53-year-old session musician – who has played for the likes of late music legend David Bowie, Sir Elton John and Bob Dylan – recorded some drum parts for the new LP and got "chills" hearing Adele's "powerful and emotive" voice.

He spilled: "I mean, this past week I just did, I generally do sessions with people – I'm like a session musician I guess, that's my day job – and I just got to work on some new music for Adele, and to hear that voice in my headphones was getting me chills.

"It was just so powerful and emotive. You know her voice, but to be across the room from somebody doing that, it's just insane.

"You hear it on the radio and whatever and you go, 'Yeah, it's really good,' but to be in the room with these people and feel that energy, it's just so heavy.

"She's writing some new material with her songwriter Rick Nowels, she wanted to do it with some drums and so we just put our masks on, she was in the room – yeah, holy s***."

Adele previously admitted she has "no idea" when her fourth record is going to be released.

When one fan asked her: "Adele where's the album?", she simply replied: "I honestly have no idea."

The ’Skyfall’ hitmaker has "been pouring her heart and soul" into the new record and has found music "like therapy" after the end of her marriage to Simon Konecki in 2019.

A source said previously: "Adele is pouring her heart and soul into this record, including how she feels post-divorce

"She's been a fan of Raphael since she was a teenager and loves his back catalogue. She wants her next album to be full of soul, with a more eclectic sound."
