It's emerged that rail services between Coleraine and Portrush were suspended on Saturday evening because of a serious threat to a member of staff.
Q Radio news understands that the PSNI were called in to assist and one person was arrested, although the nature of the threat is unclear.
CCTV footage from on board a train and from Portrush station is being reviewed by police.
A Spokesperson for translink said: “Our rail services between Coleraine and Portrush were suspended last Saturday night (7th October) following a serious threat against a member of staff.
“Safety of our staff and passengers is our top priority and we utterly condemn any threat to staff or any violent or anti-social behaviour.
“We actively pursue individuals involved in threatening or anti-social behaviour and we offer a reward of up to £1,000 for information which leads to a successful prosecution.
“NI Railways tickets were valid for bus services as a result of the disruption."
The company has apologised to passengers who were inconvenienced as a result of the service cancellation.
